Nigeria clears creation of Cotton, Textile, Garment Development Board

Nigeria’s National Economic Council has approved creation of a Cotton, Textile and Garment Development Board to revive the textile industry.
The board will operate as a public-private partnership and will be funded by import levies on textiles.
Regional offices of the board will open across the six geopolitical zones.
