The museum bearing Cristóbol Balenciaga’s name opened in 2011, perched on a hillside in the Basque fishing village of Getaria where the designer was born. It features iconic versions of his sack dresses and balloon jackets, plus other creations from a career that spanned six groundbreaking decades in the mid-20th century.
