Alex Begg began making scarves in Paisley in 1866 before moving to Ayr in 1902.
PRODUCTION CAPABILITY
We have warping, weaving and finishing capacity in-house.
Dobby weave, the maximum width is 220cm; Jacquard weave, the maximum width 150cm.
Our minimum sample runs are equivalent to 10 metres of fabric.
We work with clients on a partnership basis or on one off exclusive projects – ranging from global brands to independent fashion / interior designers, retail stores and architects. No previous knowledge is required, but sketches and a budget are advised.
