Turkiye’s CPI rises 44.38% YoY in Dec 2024, 12-month average at 58.51%

Turkiye’s CPI rose by 1.03 per cent MoM and 44.38 per cent YoY in December 2024, with a 12-month average increase of 58.51 per cent.
Clothing prices fell by 0.67 per cent, while furnishings rose by 2.78 per cent, the highest monthly increase.
CPI, excluding unprocessed food, energy, alcohol, tobacco, and gold, increased by 1.17 per cent MoM and 43.94 per cent YoY.Read More

Vietnam to impose VAT on express-imported goods under $40

Vietnam will discontinue the VAT exemption for imported goods under $40 sent via express delivery from February 18 to ensure fair competition between imported goods and domestic products.
Deputy prime minister Ho Duc Phoc recently signed a decision, officially repealing a November 2010 decree.
