Africa’s fabric imports rise 6.9% in 2024, China tops supplier list

Africa’s fabric imports rose 6.87 per cent to $7.621 billion in 2024, recovering from the pandemic-induced slump but showing stagnation in recent years.
China remained the top supplier with a 46 per cent share.
Import volumes reached 942.76 million kg, though average prices dipped.
