China’s power consumption rises 2.5% in Q1 2025

China’s electricity consumption grew 2.5 per cent year-on-year in Q1 2025 to 2.38 trillion kilowatt-hours, driven by increased demand across all sectors.
The primary and secondary industries rose by 8.7 per cent and 1.9 per cent, while the tertiary sector saw 5.2 per cent growth.
